We have always been involved with Dogs.  Several different breeds and Crossbreeds, but particularly Basset Hounds and Labradors.  This page particularly features my Labrador "Digger" and his friends, plus a couple of visitors have crept in here too!.  There has also been a Horse, Ducks and Geese and a Cat.

The Horse named Lucky took up a large chunk of my life and made a lasting impression.  All my Animals have been passed on to me in some way, they have all been rescued!  They do such an amazing job in our lives and I could not be without mine.  I once had a Basset Hound called Henry who went with me when I helped out at the local group of disabled children.

There was one particular little Girl who would not go to the group without Henry.

Above are pictures of my Labrador "Digger" with his companions "Inca" and "Lulu".   On the right is a "Labradoodle" pup in her car harness,  It seems that there are a lot of strange new "designer" crossbreeds emerging at the moment, they are expensive and hopefully this trend will not be exploited by the wrong people.  On the right is a charming little Yorkshire Terrier now Digger's particular friend!

This page is for people who find when they talk about their animals they notice other peoples eyes soon glaze over with boredom.   There are only certain people one can talk to ad infinitum about our wonderful Canine friends that actually are really part of the family for a lot of us.   Quite apart from that they really do some essential work for us, guides and companions for the blind, hearing for the deaf, assistance for the disabled, search and rescue,and much more.

Below him is his successor proudly holding a picture of himself with owner Allen Parton. He is doing extremely well taking over all the assistance tasks required of him and really enjoying it, these include doing the washing, posting letters, helping with the shopping etc,etc. To find out more click on his picture!

Dogs also do Police and Customs work, they get us out walking, they don't care what we look like and give us undivided loyalty and a companionship that rarely comes with human friendship.But then I suppose I'm preaching to the converted!   You would not be reading this if you were not interested.

On the right are a couple Bullmastiffs from Australia, and although I have separate pages for Visitors, I still like to include other Dog Pictures and a variety of breeds from all over the world as this page is what the heading says it is, for Dog Enthusiasts!
