Hello I'm "Endal" and am now a real Celebrity along with my devoted owner and partner Allen Parton. I thought I would just stop for a quick chat to tell you about some of news!.We have a new addition to our family his name is EJ (Endal Junior!) and he's shaping up pretty well. The picture on the right is our latest and no I do not have any problems with him as I know I will always be Allen's top boy!
Below that picture is one of me and EJ in our working jackets but as you can see he cannot yet take this too seriously yet and thinks its a wonderful game.
I have now won so many awards including the unique one-off "Canine Lifetime Achievement Award" presented to me at the National Golden Bone Awards 2001, was voted one of the cleverest dogs in the world by BBC1's Clever Dicks program, and received the Meridian's Year of Promise life saver award and the Wag and Bone Lifetime Achievement
Award 2004. Of course Allen is very proud of me!
It will take little EJ a long time to catch up, but with my
help he will get there.

I attended the Labrador Rescue South East & Central's 6th Anniversary party, and guess who won the Sit Stay prize! I'm pictured above with Allen and my pal "Digger". I have to say the other dogs in the competition were really good so it was not a pushover! Then the following year I attended their 7th Anniversary and was busy "helping" Allen doing some of the judging.
Another truly great award was the PDSA Gold Medal for Animal Gallantry and Devotion to Duty. This is hailed as "the animals' equivalent of the George Cross". Allen's wheelchair was knocked over by a car and he was thrown to the ground so I went into rescue mode so to speak.
I managed to manoeuvre Allen into the recovery position,
cover him with the blanket from his wheelchair
and pushhis mobile phone to his face. Only when he regained consciousness did I leave his side to alert the hotel staff and summon help. All in a days work! I've now been given this wonderful medal and there is a picture of me wearing it on the "Digger and Friends" page.
I was voted the UK's Coolest Canine by readiers of K9 Magizine and K9Online.com. I appeared on This Morning hosted by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britten and got to meet a girl band and a boy band. The other dog in our family "Ikea" who was voted K9 face of 2003. I've also received the Blue Peter Gold badge, the last person to
receive this apparently was the queen!

Allen and I go to all sorts of places, nothing stops us, above you will see me pressing the button to open the door of a train.
We used the a ramp to get on and I really enjoyed the ride. Easy accessability is so very important to us and hopefully this improves all the time.
Allen is now a UK representative of the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners(IAADP). On the left is the link their website. You can also see me on the right trying out my hand at a bit of resuscitation, a bit puzzling really she would not wake up!
The Kennel Club marked a major achievement in my illustrious career as a service dog by celebrating my tenth appearance at Crufts with a surprise presentation from Caroline Kisko of a card and bottle of Champagne(which of course I will share with Allen!)During Crufts on the saturday I was slightly injured when a member of the public fell on to me, hurting my neck. A band of unsung heroes who are always on stand by during the four days of Crufts, the Crufts veterinary team had within five minutes checked me over and gave me the all clear but suggested some rest. A quiet corner of the press office allowed me a good snooze and some R and R in the afternoon and on Sunday morning.
I'll let Allen tell you the rest - "Gosh aren't the doggie loving population are just so caring" said Allen Parton " on hearing through the media that my faithful assistance dog Endal was injured at Crufts this year... Endal's email has been inundated with get well emails from all around the world two hundred and fifty to date.
I would like to echo the content of the many letters and press articles about how special the Crufts veterinary team are. One never truly appreciates those working behind the scenes at Crufts if all goes well but it is their rapid response and actions that can alleviate the hurt and suffering of an injured dog more rapidly than if one was at home. When ever Endal hurts himself I tend to go to mush anyway, despite twenty years of military training, the emotion one feels around an injured animal has no bounds. The kindness shown to both of us both by these unsung heroes in the veterinary office is humbling and thank you never seems enough but it said from the heart.
After a weeks R and R, "post" Crufts, Endal was still a little sore around his neck. But in true labrador style, that didn't stop him terrorizing the squirrels and rabbits whilst out on his daily walks over the South Downs. The second week he has improved greatly and even attended the annual Pet Food manufacturers association Lunch (PFMA) in London, where he was served his own special dish of beef which even Paul Daniels would have been impressed the way Endal made it disappear in a flash.
This week I can safely say he is back to his normal ways and has even started be mischievous by to give me bits of rubbish out of the paper bin so that I give him a reward, he makes it look like he has retrieved it from the floor...who is teaching who here I ask myself!!!!
May I remind you to visit my very own Web Site and you will see just what I can do and what my partnership with Allen means to both of us. The link is on the left, there are also links on the "Digger & Friends" and "Labrador Rescue SE & C Supporter" pages. See you there!
